Poojya Sri Sri Sri Dr. Balagangadharanatha Mahaswamiji started the branch of the Sri Adichunchanagiri Mahasamsthan Math in Sharavati Nagar, Shivamogga in 1984. When swamiji selected the deserving ones from among the hundreds of disciples who were in his grace, Sri Sri Prasannanatha Swamiji came under his wing. From here, the life of the people of the land of Shivamogga began in a new way. The first name that can be recognized among the pioneer Math’s that have worked tirelessly for the enlightenment of the people of Shivamogga is the Sri Adichunchanagiri Branch Math, Shivamogga and its Secretary, Poojya Sri Sri Prasannanatha Swamiji. A pleasant, well-intentioned, and well-known eloquent Guru, Swamiji gave a beautiful sculpture to the stones of Shivamogga and became the beginning of a new manvantara of Shivamogga city.

Poojya Sri Sri Swamiji has been the General Secretary of Sri Adichunchanagiri Mahasamsthana Math and under the guidance of Param Poojya Jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Dr. Nirmalanandanatha Mahaswamiji, Sri Sri Swamiji has successfully managed all the activities of the Math and has been the backbone of the progress of the Math.
